The goulash is to die for. Seriously - you won't regret ordering it.
They also have a lot of Gluten free options! -

I stayed in the Palm Desert area for two weeks on a recent business trip and tried a bunch of the best Yelp rated restaurants in about a 50 mile radius. This was my absolute favorite.
First of all, it is a very authentic family owned/operated business. This family has poured its heart and soul into every square inch of the facility. Many fine details from the floor to ceiling to woodworking. Nice TV's to see your favorite games. It feels so homey that I didn't want to leave. Our waitress Zee was amazing. Thanks for all of your excellent recommendations Zee.
The food was OVER THE TOP! My group of 4 all shared portions and I can honestly say each plate was outstanding. I had the cabbage rolls which were OHSO goood.
One bite of Alps food and you will agree that even YOUR grandma can't cook like this. You could throw a dart at the menu and pick anything. Trust me it will be fantastic. -

I found this on Yelp and Open Table before returning to the area for our anniversary. I love Balkan food with which I grew up in Germany. Although this venue calls itself a German restaurant, it really is more of a pan-central/south European venue.
From Gulasch to Stuffed Cabbage/Krautwickel/Sarma to Sauerkraut/Kiseli Kupus, the menu even has Schnitzel and Scallopini.
But the absolute best is that they have Ćevapčići with Ajvar and onions. Plus their Tzatziki is to die for. The pinnacle, however, is the cold cucumber soup. This version is the best I have ever had.
And the service was delightful. Hvala! -

Ordered a large Bavarian beer and a Brown gravy Vienna Schnitzel. The food arrived 2 minutes after ordering microwave hot and pre prepared. Not good! The check came to $48. This was not a $48 meal by a long shot! $60 with tip. Not good value for money for a microwaved meal.

This is, hands down, the absolute best German food I have ever eaten. Some of the best food I've had in a while.I ordered the jaeger Schnitzel with spaetzle, and my friend ordered the cabbage rolls. The Schnitzel was moist, perfectly prepared, and the mushroom gravy was simply divine. The spaetzle was full of flavor, made fresh. The cabbage rolls were absolutely outstanding. One of the best dishes I have had, ever, in a German restaurant. Cant wait to go back for the goulash and saussge. This is locally and family owned, the food prepared fresh daily, with good, fun, vibes. Friendly, gracious and full of personality, they treat you like family, have wonderful and authentic German dishes....what are you waiting for.....this is a hidden gem in the desert.
Try the pineapple vodka.....
